Data protection information for applicants

Maintaining the protection of your personal data is very important to ITENOS GmbH.

With this FAQ on data protection, we would like to inform you about the types of data we collect, save, use, and transmit (i.e. process) during the application process. We would also like to lay out the purpose, for which we process this data, the potential recipients of the transmitted data, and your rights in regard to the processing of the data.

1. Who is responsible for the processing of my personal data?

ITENOS GmbH is responsible for the processing of your personal data for the purposes mentioned below (hereinafter referred to as “responsible entity”). In addition to ITENOS GmbH, other subsidiaries of TELEKOM can also be (jointly) responsible for the processing of your data. 2. Which of my personal data is being processed?

During the application process, we process the following types of personal data in particular:

Contact, identification and organizational data (name, surname, sex, date of birth, place of birth, nationality, addresses, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, mobile numbers) and data on personal circumstances and characteristics (family status, marital status, religion, photo, job title, work history, company affiliation, responsibilities, duties, entry and leaving dates, qualifications, assessments and evaluations etc.).

4. On which legal basis is my personal data being processed?

We will process your personal data on the following legal basis:

To fulfill any contractual or precontractual obligations
To fulfill any legal obligations (e.g. tax law)
To safeguard justified interests (e.g. safeguarding of business processes, reporting, protecting ITENOS and its employees from damages)

Insofar as the respectively applicable data protection regulations necessitate it, we will ask for your consent to the processing of your personal data. For that purpose, we will specifically inform you about the processing of your personal data as well as the consequences for you, should you choose not to consent to the processing of your personal data. Should you choose not to consent to the processing of your personal data, we will only process your personal data if there is another legal basis, upon which we are allowed to do so. Otherwise your personal data will not be processed.

5. Who has access to my personal data?

For the above-mentioned purposes, we will transmit your personal data – to the extent, which is required in each individual case – as well as grant access to your personal data to the following recipients:

Employees (HR, specialist departments, employee organization committees)
Deutsche Telekom AG and its subsidiaries

6. Where is my personal data being processed?

In case your personal data is required to leave the country in which you are applying for a position, it will be processed in the European Union (EU). In this context, we will fulfill contractual obligations of secrecy and discretion as well as meet the current data protection regulations. Only such entities, which are authorized to process your personal data will receive or be granted access to your personal data.

7. How does ITENOS protect my personal data?

ITENOS GmbH employs both technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from accidental or unauthorized destruction, loss, modification, transfer or use. ITENOS GmbH ensures that all of its employees commit themselves to confidentiality when handling personal data. Your personal data is only processed by expressly authorized employees.

8. How long will my personal data be stored?

ITENOS GmbH will only store your personal data for as long as storing it is necessary for the purpose of the processing and/or as long as ITENOS is legally required to store the data.

9. What are my rights in regard to my personal data?

According to current data protection regulations, as the person affected by the processing of your personal data, you have a range of legal claims against responsible entities. Your rights include a right to information, in particular in regard to the use of your personal data, as well as rights to rectification and deletion of your personal data, a right to object, a right to data portability, and a right to limit the dissemination of your personal data, insofar as the legal requirements are fulfilled.

You can assert these rights in writing. Furthermore, you can file a complaint in regard to the handling of your personal data at the responsible data protection authority.
