New functions of the Online Backup Manager 5.5

Up to 256-bit encyption
Before your data leaves the server, it is compressed and encrypted. You have the choice among different encryption algorithms and methods. The new Online Backup Manager supports encryption of up to 256 bits.

Continuous Data Protection
Continuous Data Protection synchronises changed files immediately. Thus, you get highest data security. Now it is possible to restore defined data states of any point of time in the past, independent of fixed backup intervals.

Support of Microsoft Exchange Server 2007
With the Online Backup Manager 5.5, you can now backup the Microsoft Exchange Server  2007. Along with the total backup of a server you can also backup individual mailboxes.  Of course, the new Online Backup Manager continues to support the  MS Exchange Servers 2000 and 2003.

Further functions

InFile Delta
In big files (e.g. pst files), changes in content can be stored without uploading the whole file each time. You can choose between an incremental and a differential Infile Delta Backup Mode and establish a time schedule for the chosen backup mode.

Incremental or differential backup mode
The Online Backup Manager ernables every user to choose between incremental and differential backup mode and to establish a time schedule for each relevant backup mode.

Total backup or backup of individual mailboxes
With the new Online Backup Manager, you can either perform a total backup of the exchange server or a backup of individual mailboxes.

Notifications
After each backup activity, your system administrator receives a report via e-mail containing all backup information.

Freely adjustable retainment period
The data retainment function allows you to open files, even when they were deleted before. You can determine the retainment period freely, from one day to infinite.

Volume Shadow Copy backup
This new feature enables you to backup even opened files (e. g. Outlook pst fildes) on computers with the operating systems Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003 and 2008.

Supported Operating Systems
Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, Sun Solaris and Novell NetWare.

Supported databases
MS SQL Server, MS Exchange Server 2000, 2003 and 2007, Oracle, MySQL, Lotus Notes/Domino.
